Hip Pain (Hip Flexor strain, tendonitis)

Hip pain is common in soccer players, tennis athletes, and runners. This is due to the constant stop and go motion, and the jarring caused when your leg hits the pavement. The best way to prevent hip injuries, is to keep the hip open in all directions. Pigeon pose and frog pose are two recommended to combat pain. When trying pigeon, place the shin of the right foot on the ground. Lean forward as much as possible. This should be painful, but stop if it becomes excruciating. Hold for 2 minutes on each side.
